Paths Laid Down

Updated on September 19, 2013
Source

The sun sank slowly on it's way home

dropping down... from it's day roam

Two certain lines .. to show the way

were these paths laid down, so you say

I saw the road ..that would lead me there,

the grass was green, so fresh the air

As night would soon ..close out the day

on these former places, we did play

Time stood still .. for transitions pause

all of it happened.. for a cause

To give your soul... a resting place

in this moment of time and space

Your photo with the path leading to the sun is really what pulls me in on the words of your poetry. Great connection!

Ahh, Eric my spiritual friend .... I also wrote this piece, after coming home from a long day and half of a night , which is starting to seem like to often ..(I think I am feeling my mortality again ) It might just be my own subconscious writing the poems .. It makes me wonder why I write these type of poems now.. is the Lord telling me something .. ? Well any spiritual advice you have would be as welcome as the butterflies wings brushing upon my cheek while I gaze upon the sight of angels coming to meet me .!

I can hardly wait until bedtime. I will come back here. What a peaceful easy feeling this gave me. I will do my best to make today a day worthy of my nightly rest.
