Peace - After the Release of Pain - 6th Word from the "Good Word" Project

Updated on January 1, 2017

Peace - the "Good Words" project for week 6

Week 6 -The word for Joanna "Grace" Goldsmith's project "Good Words" where each week she will give us another word, for her readers to find inspiration, and put that word to use in thought and action.

Peace, the 6th "Good Word."

At the beginning of Grace's project, I pledged to write a poem for each good word.

I find it a little more challenging than I thought, but a lot more rewarding.

This week's poem is a tribute to Grace, on her loss of a special friend.

Peace - After the Release of Pain

© by Shyron Shenko

When you learn someone you love has passed

That is when the pain from grief will start

And rip right through your grieving heart

And now the healing tears must start

Tears to wash the pain from your aching heart

And allows precious memories to start

Then "Peace" will come

Like the serene Peace after a pouring rain

Peace comes from the release of pain

Pain washed away by the blurring tears that sadness brings

Like an early day in spring

When the birds of peace will sing

Shalom my friend

The (((((Peace)))))) that God meant for us, when he gave his son for our sins.

Wouldn't it be great if we could really have peace between all of our countries and even between ourselves? It seems that everyone is at war on many different levels.

Sharing this excellent poem, of course.

I hope you and John will have a peaceful evening and that you haven't been out in the awful heat today. We are to cool down for several days after this and there will be plenty of time to tackle outdoor chores then.

Blessings and hugs, dear friend. I always only wish you the very best.

Peace is something that doesn't exist here where I am. Yes, I'm at the mall and everyone's children are behaving much as they probably do at home.

A lovely poem. Voted up again and shared.

Hope you have spent as much as possible of this day inside out of the heat. Blessings dear friend. Take care . ..

      Dear Shyron,

Your poem and this song bring me peace today as I miss my Momma so much...I have recently read Jo's accompanying piece and like her sweet FIL, my Momma was all about peace, love and bringing comfort to those she loved...just like you do to those you hold close to you, my friend.

Thank you for this "heart work" and hope you are having a peaceful, lovely day. Hugs, Maria

      Shyron,

Thank you so very much for this beautiful poem. It has brought peace to my heart. And for this, I am so grateful to you. And I praise God for creating someone like you who is so beautiful to be apart of this world.

It is three weeks this Sunday that my former Father in law had passed.

Our family will forever cherish this poem. God bless you Shyron.

      Shalom

(of course it is shared, tweeted and voted up) I pray for blessings in your life that will excede the small tokens of appreciation I can share here.)

I know that we are all terminal

And someday we will all pass away

We just don't know what day

      And in what way.

      God Bless you my friend.

One thing is certain: anyone who lives long enough will suffer painful losses of family and friends. They won't always be older people or even contemporaries. Some losses will seem premature, and anger will mix with grief--anger at a death that seems unfair.

Each such loss takes something of us with it. Each loss of someone we love diminishes us. Grief is difficult to endure, but necessary. Tears are a gift. They cleanse and promote healing. Allowing ourselves to feel our grief (rather than trying to push it down and deny it) helps us go through it and come out the other side: to the land of the living. Experiencing grief, no matter how painful, prevents us from getting stuck in unrelieved mourning.

Beautiful poem, Shyron. Voted Up+++ and shared

A beautiful expression of how we miss those people dear to us who pass on and learn to cope with their passing. In the end we who are Christian must rejoice in their graduation from this life into a better place. Faith and trust in God can bring peace, knowing that we will one day be reunited with our loved one in His love.

Voted up and BAI, pinned to Awesome HubPages, and will share.

sujaya, after you read my poem, would you, could you, ask your question again?

      what birds at flight shy?

Did you mean, What birds are those in flight? Referring to the drawing of the birds pictured in my poem?

If that is your question, the Dove is the symbol of Peace.

And did you mean "in flight in the sky?" instead of "at flight shy."

Or did you know me in a different life?

Maybe this is a puzzle for me to figure out,

what your question, words or statement is all about.

I do not understand your question, or is a statement that you make?
