"People I Once Knew" by Eric Wayne Flynn

"People I Once Knew"

Blips, bleeps n blops on the timeline

Significant insignificant creatures

Placed on a path

Echoing in eternity

Jabber jawing

Children playing tag

Gods gifts

Preparing to be returned

As we grow older we learn

We were never here, never there, never anywhere

Besides the moment of now

As you and I sit here reunited together through this poem

Im talking to you and you're talking to me

We're alive

We're sharing a moment again

It will soon be gone

It will soon die

I don't get sad about it because my fingers are still moving

When they stop I'll realize the passing phenomenon of life screaming past me

On fire

Hot and painful

Giving warning that all will burn
