Perceptions of a person
You want to call me a liar
When the truth is not what you believe
And in all actuality
The truth’s not something you can conceive.
I may have made bad judgments before
Out of fear, or spite, or pain
Not once were you deceived though
Solely for my personal gain.
You always said I cheated
Every time I was with another
Even though we had parted ways beforehand
Remembering that part, you’d care not to bother.
I can’t make you see
What you refuse yourself to do
But, at least I KNOW for certain
I never cheated on you.
