Perhaps (poem)
Perhaps the world I know will come to end
Perhaps the things familiar will all change
Perhaps tomorrows I can’t comprehend
Perhaps my morning’s music will be strange
-
The streets of old may slip to seasons new
As air may spark such waves of yet to be
Ahead a mystic fog I must pass through
Perhaps a dream has challenged clarity
-
And here am I so lost in serge of this
As firm confusion winds my way with truth
How did I come to verge of precipice
Perhaps it is reality of youth
-
Perhaps this all was fated from above
For as you see I’m helplessly in love
