Pictures in the Rain

Updated on June 1, 2012

Your lips were sparkling

as we walked in the rain

the constant water

washed away our pain

While we walked,

the flowers, alive they came

they were warm and soft...

as down came the rain

To be holding hands

splashing around

this was how...

our true love was found

Your face was like a flower

something.. very beautiful to see

A picture of forever...

that was reflected to me

When up above.....

the clouds let it all go

sweet pictures of love..

that the Lord wanted to show

Raindrops everywhere..

but we kept warm and dry

while our hearts beat as one...

as we floated to... the beautiful sky

Ah...the refreshment of rain! It just rained here and although the sun is out and now setting, this was a great poem to accompany the mood. Up and shared!

Michael, this is an amazing poem! Right now I am looking through the window at the gray winter day, flooded with pouring rain streets, but instead of getting sad and drown myself in blues I feel warm inside, I picture sunshine and flowers that you lovingly painted with your words and it makes me smile! You are a true artist my dear friend, it's astonishing! Thank you for sharing =)

There's nothing like refreshing rain to inspire love! Love your message here and how romance blooms through the enjoyment of weather.

Dotti, my sweet lady. Thank you for the comments. i thought you had already forgotten about me so i had to w rite a short poem to see who was still paying attention. you know me , romance is what I like, love and happiness is te song i like to hear. Fantasy is fun but when reality strikes it brings out the "logical Mike" who is sad and forlorn. but both can write poetry.!!!

      Love ya, baby!!!
