Places (poem)

Updated on October 15, 2015

She leaves one candle burning through the night

One chance one hope one tear that he might see

There was a place to end this misery

This candle which at one time burned so bright

She dawns a dress that was another dream

One day one care one tear two lovers shared

Then came that place that caught them unaware

This dress which now would see a bitter stream

She leaves a ring beside some dark unknown

One kiss one Joy one tear to leave behind

Another place perhaps its purpose find

This ring which promised she won’t be alone

One ring one dress one candle and a tear

She knows her place and it’s no longer here

Music only

Touching, solemn, poignant! Your poems are so neatly put together. Thoughtful, wise, exquisite ... Hari Om!

P.S. Light means so much to me! Perhaps you too. Peace.
