Please don't touch me !

Updated on April 18, 2015

Please don’t feel sorry for me

and think that I am unhappy.

I may look lonely but I am not.

I am happy here under the sun,

in fresh air and in the midst of

the bushes and the huge trees.

The hill, which is close by,

is protecting me from the wind.

The water, running down the hill,

is falling into the river at a distance

with a beautiful melody to assure me

that all things are in place.

At night when I sleep,

the moon and the stars keep me

under their watchful eyes

and as the day light comes

I am visited by beautiful butterflies

who kiss me and appreciate my beauty,

the birds entertain me

with their beautiful songs.

I am not at all left unattended.

They are all here with me.

Please don’t come close to me

and touch me, please don’t pluck me

and cause my instant death.

If you want to appreciate

my fragrance and beauty,

you can do from a distance

but please don’t come close to me

and touch me, please don't pluck me

and cause my instant death.

If a rose could talk, that is certainly what it would say. Sometimes I think that we people feel that way, too. You spoke for it beautifully!

Everyone on earth is looking for happiness, but only a few who can be luck to have it. Actually, only true love can give birth to happiness! I like your poem, it's simple, easy to feel and understand, and well-built.
