Plumber Not A Critic (limerick)

Updated on June 10, 2013

A plumber helped clean pipes for me

So from clogs again they are free

Now I’m free to play

My bagpipes all day

Till fans again flay mud in glee

My favorite bagpipe song - Really

      Bagpipes seem to be,

Either you love 'em or you hate 'em.

      Take up the flute instead.

      That is my advice verbatim.

Surely not the kind of Highland fling your audience was anticipating lol!

This limerick, and the other one about the kilt, reminded me of that old song 'Donald, where's your trooses?' by Andy Stewart, my old dad used to have on LP.

      All the best,

      R.Q.

Awesome! Bagpipe is a very difficult instrument to learn and I can imagine the mud being flung at anyone who is learning to play the instrument!!!
