Free from Myself.

Updated on February 14, 2011

Poem by Jay Manuel

A vow to himself,

To the monster he became,

Swore he'll never go back,

As he crawled out of the open flames.

Tears running down his cheek,

As he climbs to the mountain peek,

Greeted by the open breeze,

A sense of relief, so he screams;

Tell them im free,

im free from myself.

A vow to herself,

Never again be a prisoner,

No more following the snake,

As she watches it slither.

Tears falling from her eyes,

As she escapes to the time

Recalls when she almost died,

No more feeling empty inside,

So she screams;

Tell them im free,

Im free from myself.
