Poem - A Smile For A Life

Updated on December 24, 2010

Inspired by a comment made by LaurieDawn..........

I'm nothing
Merely an echo
Of past glory
Vanishing
As time races by
It is no longer
My time
Or my place
Only a song
Exists
One of complete
Loss
Playing over and over
Until
You smiled
A stranger
With a gift
Of life
Thank you
You made me live
Again

A smile takes just a second to do, but it can last for a life time if it "hits" the right person, in the right moment.

@terje - thank you for commenting... I agree so much and a smile from ANYONE can light you up.

@Hokey - thank you for your kind remark...

@Nellieanna - thank you sweetheart! I hope you had a wonderful day... this one was short and so is a smile... I just wanted to illustrate how quickly something so simple can be so powerful...

@acaetnna - thank you. You are right about smiles... this one was inspired as I said by a comment made by LaurieDawn... kind of like how you inspired Micky Dee about envy... I look for things in what people say and it can open creative doors...
