Poem: For you My Dear

Updated on August 13, 2011

My heart of love

What love have I if not with you?

I pray, be still my broken heart.

'Tis pain that will grow to pass as days will do.

My heart of love has lived.

For you, my dear, I lose myself.

As pain may be a part of me.

For now, I seed my heart.

But grow it not into hate.

For love is all it knows.

I water it with those who love.

'Tis all I know to do.

My mended heart will love agan.

Though memories of you remain.

Be still my broken heart, I pray.

'Tis my love for you that will go away.

Thank you writer20. I had a thought of my past's heart aches and this is what came out. I am glad you like it.
