Poem - Those Little Blue Arrows

Updated on November 24, 2010

Do you want a dark poem?
Let's turn stats into art
It's those little blue arrows
Shooting into my heart

Blue arrows pointing down
What is it that you are saying?
It's all been there done that
You're moving on, you're not stayin'

Blue arrows pointing down
Feel like thorns and not a crown
Blue arrows pointing down
Failure coming without a sound

Blue arrows pointing down
Where do you go in the night?
Do you spread your love?
Only to return with the morning light?

Blue arrows pointing down
Feel like thorns and not a crown
Blue arrows pointing down
Failure coming without a sound

Blue arrows pointing down
We just barely met
It seems you have no home
Come back! I hope you never forget

Blue arrows pointing down
Blue arrows pointing down
No time to stick around
No time to stick around

Blue arrows pointing down
Blue arrows pointing down
No time to stick around
No time to stick around

Nicely done about the BLUES and blue arrows pointing down my friend. I rarely see them, but the past week, I have way to many. Either the Team don't like me anymore or maybe a ghost is playing with my buttons:-0 I just posted a message on the main page with my very BLUE GORILLA scratching his chin in wonderment. LoL thanks for pointing me in your direction Mark. I hear ya loud and clear.

@daydreamer13 - ha... I'd forgotten about how those little arrows had offended me enough to the point of insult!

Thank you Anthony... it's an attempt to make art out of cold hard numbers...

Thank you libby... it's just a little throw away but we all hate that feeling... it seems the crowd has viewed us and are moving on their way... we become yesterday's news...

      Thank you Lady Wordsmith,

I guess that is the prompt for a new hub... I hadn't thought about that... maybe the hubpages folks are shrewder than I realized...

How well you've described what we all must feel at times! Very insightful I think :) Sometimes it seems that the whole of my account is covered in blue arrows. That's when I know it's time to write a new hub...

      Lovely hub, voting up!

Maybe my poem was an egotistical little tantrum.. stop! don't go away! look at me! Hello!!!????

Icicles... yes and hopefully they will thaw in the spring and make green the meadow...

      Scribert,

I'm almost embarrassed that I took the time to write this thing but as you may have notice I am one of those who can be described thusly:

      I See I Write

...and that is a nice little poem you gave to me... thank you...

No need to fear those little blue arrows. Post your heart, those called will follow. With the holidays here there are going to be a lot more little blue arrows - think of them as icicles.

.....and thus you've shot an arrow into the air, and it fell to earth you know not where......except it wounded nary a soul; indeed, gave voice to the longing, gave breath to the whole.......thanks SB

Some days it appears my whole wall of hubs is collapsing in a heap of blue arrows only to be picked up by some mysterious force...

Thanks for reading minnetonka... I don't know why I wrote this thing but I had to get it out of my head...

Noone here likes those darn blue arrows. It's not about your wonderful writing. It's about traffic. The more you read and comment to others the more your traffic, this lovely up and red arrows.

Loved your fun, blue arrow poem:)
