Canadian mentor with an Indian heart,

She possesses a poetic craft.

She seems to be a good daughter,

I found her an exclusive author.

I began commenting on her articles with Delight,

That's when our friendship blossomed with Light.

After publishing my first poem, her comment rewarded,

With her motivation and support, I marched and started.

During the school days, she was chubby,

Although she was brilliant in the study.

As a professional, she is an English tutor cum lawyer,

Even though she doesn't have an ego as a scholar.

Golden memories of childhood days when we were dancing in the rain,

Today wants to cherish those days again.

Everyday fifteen minutes of meditation,

Leaves her tranquil, boosting her imagination.

Every day ten minutes of jogging,

She started her writing with blogging.

Her heart and her soul are lyrical,

Weekly Satsang made her spiritual.

Life is so simple because of Google and Gmail,

Correspondence became so easy through e-mail.

From her angelic look, I thought she is a European,

From her writing, I thought she would be an American.

Pretty lady turned out a Canadian,

But she was born as an Indian.

Canadian mentor with an Indian heart,

She embraced her novice, that's where all start.

Ashish, this is a wonderful tribute to our dear friend Surabhi. She is one of the most skilful and promising writers I know. In fact I think she would be successful at everything she attempts. Anyone she chooses to mentor would be very fortunate.

Ha ha. Surabhi is my Chelaji. Sri Chinmoy is my Master. I don't have disciples in the true sense. I'm an eternal beginner. God bless your humble spirit.

"Like the Tree I shall bow down.

Like the mountain I shall forgive and keep my head high.

Like the mother I shall always remain awake.

Like the heart I shall always worship." - Sri Chinmoy
