Date With Death

Updated on March 29, 2016

Date With Death

She was beautiful yet deadly,

As her eyes met mine she took over immediately.

She was like death herself

And I was beyond any help.

For a moment all my worries,

Desires, ego and greed vanished.

She taught me all about life

And it was nothing I could describe.

I fell for her and

I wanted to be her's forever.

She smiled at me

And it was all over.

Finally, she and I became one

And there was nothing else to be done.

Do you think a girl can be like death in certain aspects?

What you said is true but here I am only focusing on one aspect and not the whole. Thank you for your comment.

Nice lines. But, I think otherwise. It is life and not death. She gives the life to man. You learn to love and live.

It is small but revealing the real you. Profound within few lines. Bring the poet in you more often.

This is a most exquisite poem; a very special poem ...with the marks of true greatness. Do a couple more like this, and you will have surpassed me, Bro. You will join the Bards Hall of Fame.

However, with a name like yours, why don't you become like Surabhi, Nellieanna and myself. A God-lover? Read some of our poems. Take a mix ...Jai Sri Krishna; Jai Jesus Christ! Jai Abhimanyu! Mere Prabhu!
