Poem - Eclipse

Updated on December 2, 2010

Love's reflection
An angelic face
A celestial body
Takes its place
Amongst the moon
And the stars
Burning your eyes
With romantic resonance
Still you look
A determined gaze
Transfixed
The invisible
Is seen
The corona
Radiates
She is Venus
For a moment
You witness

An eclipse
Of the pain
As you blink
Your heart
Lives again

Thank you for the second comment Nayo... it is about the man who has seen the most beautiful girl and how he has seen his mission in life... you know the look...

I had a second look at this poem today... And oh yes your mind have the real way of looking at some one, Beautiful and simple... Yet loving and all of it there..

I didn't take it as a negative because I know you are too gracious for that... I figure you'd either remain silent or send me a private message telling me to get my dumb head straight! So don't worry about it....

We all make poor choices at times by prioritizing the wrong things and sometimes beautiful words are in fact empty promises...

Oh - hope my "there is no accounting for poor judgment" remark was applied to the right comment - which was yours "if it were only that simple" when I said "what woman wouldn't melt. . ." But now I see now it might appear to be in response to the comment just above it from giselle, "Beautiful, Just Beautiful" referring to your whole poem. NO, That is excellent judgement of your work which is beautiful from any side, inside and out!

I should have clarified what I was referring to!! Now, If there was no confusion about it - then whew - but I couldn't risk it seeming to be wrongly negative!

      Aetheria,

Yes you did! You didn't think you would get in trouble did you?

      Thank you for saying that...

      Thanks Doug,

It is way of telling women why it is that we stare... that is what we see...

      Thank you Laurie,

Your comment merits its own hub for its deeply felt response to another person's work... I'm not sure I'm all that but it's very kind of you to say these things...
