Poem - Forbidden Thrills

Updated on February 28, 2013
Source

Tears drop,
Heart stops!

See you there,
Life is unfair.

Walking stance,
Stolen glance.

Pass by me,
Don't you see?

Source

Your heart is shouting out to me!

Nervous looks,
Touch that shook.

People scorn,
Foreheads frown.

silhouette kiss,
Touching lips.

Little known,
Feelings shown.

Source

Hidden love, only for you!

Thoughts renew,
Dreams of two.

Become one,
Under the sun.

Holding hands,
Passing glance.

Time stood still
Ravaging chill.

Reawaken fallen trills!

Hi Patty! Good to see you again.... In our time, we have lost the thrill that comes from innocent things. Our society is too open now.... Has its advantages though! :)

lol, Richy, that's hermit the crab. It comes out from behind the mask..... Wait, must be the Phantom of the Opera... Discards its mask when the full moon comes out and goes back behind it afterward.... Hmmm, a werewolf?! Well, I am one of those :))

Back to the poem; you actually got the right idea.... It is all about the love between the two castes, like the P&P..... inspired by the movie :)

      Thanks for stopping by....

You've changed your profile picture! Daring, aren't we? lol

Look, I've read the comments here and I'm not getting what many seem to be getting out of this. I'm seeing a love, possibly against the rules of social castes, that is desired, enjoyed, but still, not allowed to progress because of the rules. Instead of a physical thing, it's more of a mental "wish" for what could be, but impossible to complete. I like it, but may be at a disadvantage not having seen the 2005 version of P & P. Or, I may just be ignorant, as I've proven many times before, but am in a state of self denial about. Great poem and flow! As always and as expected!

Pretty sure it is 2005's Pride and Prejudice....although it is pretty hard to be sure.....if not Pride and Prejudice....it has to be a Jane Austen novel turned into a movie. My second guess would be The Dark Knight Rises...lol. I like it.... poetry and movies...a good combination.

Hi LaThing - another thrill ride of a poem!!! A good way to get the juices flowing this morning. You are so gifted. It is that natural flesh thing inside us, that when something is forbidden, we desire it even more - it is just that built-in sinful nature in us as humans I guess. In His Love, Faith Reaper
