Cheating Boyfriend-A Poem

Updated on August 18, 2016

Love Poem

Source

When a Lover Cheats

Our love developed out the blue

Most didn't picture me with you

I noticed uniqueness others can't see

I saw your strengths like you did in me

Why is everyone saying your bad

I feel so connected, the loss would be sad

You were a creative soul that needed a muse

We thought love alone would win and not lose

College friends constantly telling me, "leave"

The stories and judgements, there is no reprieve

I beg you to tell me that it isn't true

You promise your loyal and I believe you

Until that day the dorm became hell

They told me you loved her, on my knee's I fell

I swore I would never love you again

I just hope It doesn't make me fear men

Breaking Up

Have you ever had to break off a relationship because of infidelity from your partner

Thanks Marie-unfortunately this was an ex from college who cheated on me several times. I wouldn't put up with that nowadays but I thought I was in love-Funny thing is, he has grown up and gone into recovery which was a huge part of the problem and now he comes to visit me every year. I consider him a dear friend.

    linda,

    you know that I love

you hold me in your spell

So i love your sister also

    this you can tell

her to visit and comment to me

so I can see if she loves my poetry.

Love you both, you know that

    Michael.

I am so glad to hear you've healed the pain and moved on. Love is such a gift and the last thing we want to do is let one bad experience taint a good one that may lay ahead for us.

Even I made the same mistake back at school... blinded myself for three years.. ruined my self... but I came out well... learned to trust again...

Hi Michael-I have been telling Laura/Healing Touch about you and what a lovely person and great poet you are. She does write poetry but doesn't have a lot of it on Hubpages but more on her blog. She does have some powerful poems here though about living through abuse with an ex-husband. Check it out some time. My sis is the best and if you love me(which I know you do-LOL)You'll love her.

I am honored to get such high praise from an incredible poet such as yourself. This heart break happened in college to a man I thought I loved. His actions and bad decisions ended the relationship as I had no more trust in him. We all make mistakes but three strikes and more, your out. Thanks so much for coming by.

    My lovely Linda,

You made your sister follow me

do you have the power to make this be?

    she doesn't even like poetry?

why then would you do this to she?

and make my words of poetry

    seem so small to

    the mind of us three.

Now a spanking you must get

my hands, i now must wet

    to make you hurt

    as hard as it seems

    this will hurt me

    more than you it means

    Love ya,

    Michael

Great Great poetry.... You get your emotions out of the reader,,, I began I connected! Started to smile.. felt elated... and then at the end I connected again... crashing my heart down.. feeling so sad

Wrecked me! This poem wrecked me... it was so beautiful... It connected me to all those souls out there who face such a heart-break... I faced it once...And I know how it feels...

    Beautiful piece of poetry...

Hello Twincess! Thanks for the poem. I used to write a lot of poetry on MySpace but since I forgot my password about two years ago, I don't think I have written one since and I saved the files on an old crashed computer. You inspired me to write on Word and save the doc for posting elesewhere. I'll let you know when I have something worth reading on here.

Hi Bobbi-Yes, these memories never fade but thankfully the memories do not hurt anymore. They just make me annoyed that I put up so much and kept taking him back. Now as I help my sis raise her 12 year old daughter, I pray to heaven that she will not put up with this behavior. I don't think she will make the mistakes me and her mom made because she's had more stability in her life. I thank you for stopping by and commenting.

Ya and it's much easier to be friends with him than date him. Hee hee but very true. I guess I've always been able to be friends with ex's if they earn it. Have a great night Beth.

breakfastpop-I think your right about all of us having one of those bad guys in our past but it sure teaches us a lot for the future. That is so cute that your hubby was scared to death of commitment and now he's all about it. So sweet. The man I wrote this about will be here late August for his yearly visit. It took him a while to grow up. Were great friends now and that's the way I like it. Take care.

Terrific poem. I think most women have a guy like this somewhere in their past. My guy is in my present. When we were in college, the thought of commitment made him weak in the knees. When he grew up, we married and he is the most loving and committed man in the world.

She is beautiful and I hope she's happy, and even though I said I was crying this is the best night in a while. Thank you for sharing you thoughts.
