Poem - I Never Knew You Part II

Updated on December 25, 2010

I Never Knew You Part II - RIP

I never knew you
The pictures bring you near
I see your face
I see your smile
I see the joy
Inside a little boy

I never knew you
The music brings you near
I hear your heart
I hear your soul
I hear the feeling
Will it help their healing?

I never knew you
Their pain brings you near
I see their tears
I see their torment
I see their sorrow
There will be no tomorrow

I never knew you
The people bring you near
I know you now
I know your life
I know your face
Your memory I will embrace

I never knew you
Your power is near
I see their togetherness
I see their bond
I see what you meant
To heaven you have been sent

I never knew you
I see God is near
I see his image in all
I see their emotions
I see their love
To them God sends a dove

Thank you littlesecret.... just reading it again got to me... I didn't even know this person.... I don't know how I will react when it's a loved one because I've yet to experience this moment....

Thank you Dawn... it was difficult to sit and watch strangers grieving openly... that's when you know we are all the same....

Very touching, the way it moves forward is very good, each verse having what is near, very easy to visualise and feel.

Thank you acaetnna... you just read what I experienced... there was a viewing of another co-workers' spouse who died suddenly. I didn't know him. They were playing his favorite songs and projecting pictures of him on the wall....
