Poem - It's All About You

Updated on June 18, 2016

I have been writing intermittently for over 10 years. And I continue to write poems, stories, etc., because it is always fun to write.

It's All About You

I want to love you so much
that I start to forget myself,
I want to love you so much
that you can't go back to yourself.

I remember the place I met you
and the exact moment when I fell,
In love you won't get peace so
it's been weeks since I slept well.

Perhaps if I could see you
somewhere within my lovely dreams,
I could rest for some more time
with no disturbance from sunbeams.

You never know when it is
that the lightning will strike,
There is nothing I won't change
if it's something you don't like.

I don't know how you give me
the feeling that hits my core,
When it's you I'm thinking of
what do I need the world for.

My life becomes a desert
when I feel you are too far,
But the distance is nothing
I'm already there where you are.

Someday or one of these days
you will know how much I care,
Until then be shy but please
don't hide yourself in your hair.

Just because all I need is you
everything I have means nothing,
And because all you need is me
you can be certain of one thing.

I want to love you so much
that I start to forget myself,
I want to love you so much
that you can't go back to yourself.
