Poem: Loves Loss
Taking to the way,
Embracing the thought...
His mind kept wandering in fury.
"Why must I fight my heart so?!
She sees me not, for this I know.
Such countless ways I love,
But I should let her go."
This love of his grows stronger,
Though, each waking day gets longer.
His mind can't take it,
His heart won't make it.
Silence in the mind.
"She does not see me as I see her."
Skin so silky smooth,
Soft to any touch.
Eyes that pierce into the soul,
Eyes that make the sea roar with envy.
Lips, oh her lips.
So soft , so seductively sweet to each kiss.
These lips that make red buds blossom.
And her smell.
"Is it possible for a woman to smell as sweet and as beautiful as she?"
The sweet aroma of gardenia,
Blowing in the wind with the sea salty air.
Whisking me ore the days I would sail,
But it is her spirit.
It is her soul.
It is this that captivates me.
The utter essence of her mind,
filled with curiosity and knowledge.
It is her child like ways,
So innocent and pure.
Yet, so nurturing, insightful and sophisticated.
She is as I want her to be,
The woman that is
Not for me...
