Poem - Night

Updated on January 2, 2016

The night swiftly walks,

faster than the afternoon’s glide.

The trees swing along the

tiptoeing wind,

ready to embrace me

anytime I try

face the

constantly changing sky.

It knocks on the door,

no one answers.

I don’t want to.

This day is

far out,

beyond everyday.

I want to stay,

freeze time,

freeze every

living creature’s breath,

and erase

the orbit of

the sun.

Too sad,

night is a foe,

a colleague of

space and time,

an invincible one.

Tick-tock, tick-tock,

it befalls on me,

kisses me good night

even though not.
