Poem, Prisoner of Time
Hold me Love...
Hold me as if to never fall, lets pretend this is an act of courage, an act of insane love, close the windows, light the candles, whisper to the stars how much you wished for me, lie, as you dance in the darkness, don’t stop moving, but don’t drop me, lets open the door, listen to the lightning bugs whispering your name, don’t lose sight of them, and run, lets drive love, lets run away from time, don’t let it come to an end, now smile at me, and whisper sweet nothings, show me how love weaves a spell in the fire, don’t let it run out of lies to tell, hold my hand, show me the best in your soul, the ugly the raw, let me love you for you, no fables, no fiction, give me the words of Shakespeare, play me the melody of Mozart, but hold on tight love, don’t let me slip. Run, faster, time is catching up, only to remind us that everything comes to an end, lets show her, run, don’t let her fool you with her strict beauty, don’t love me with time, love me without limits, don’t look at me, but look into me. Quiet my love, don’t move, hide, she's there, waiting, looking, because she knows we can't be still forever, hold me tight, don’t ever let go, the morning will come soon, and this will only be a memory that will burst like a dying star, sleep love, morning is near, and I will whisper your name in my dreams, for time has caught us, and daylight is here.
