Poem: Reality In A Dream

Updated on April 6, 2013

A Dream

Source

Reality in a dream, shows in your eyes,
Pushing the boundaries of our mind
Searching through eternal empty space
Look within you and you shall find!

Find the life that you always miss,
The seasons that carved your wishful way.
Words are engraved in your assumed kiss
You utter nothing, yet I hear you say!

Say the feelings with your touch,
Hear the song in the air,
See the light that doesn't shine much
Within a heart that cannot bear.

Source

Bear the pain of lonely words,
Hide the love that cannot share.
Show nothing for that love,
Has no meaning, no one cares!

Care to dream, if you are strong.
Strength that will not change your mind.
Dream a dream of reality,
If you dare to be so kind.

Kind of love that you haven't felt,
Enlightens your soul and all around.
Pleasure and pain of blissful life,
One of a kind, cannot be found!

Reality..... cannot be seen!

Reality and a dream, two concepts that intertwine perfectly when love and sorrow are shared. Emotions that can shut a painful reality with more sensitive and appealing dreams. Great inspiration La!

Voted up. This is a great poem. You're sure right reality cannot be seen and that is why there are people who don't accept reality and live in a dream world.

Reality is the dream, the true connection of spirit with the universe. We are but a reflection of reality here, a part of the painting.

But to linger in reality, brings sights not wanted to see, for in my time within my head, most enjoyment felt instead. Our memories and future thrives, upon our dreams within our lives, so harsh our moments can really be, when we return to reality.

LaThing - Great Job! Now I'm traveling in time and space overlooking the world from above! Who the hell spiked my coffee!!! Loved it!

Yes beauty it seems to be found best in our dreams..yet can the plain..be interpreted by the mind of men and changed in its being to represent beauty and akin. Imagination and its altering of the things that are to be, becoming the marvels of wonder , in a newness, that we see? Thanks for you thoughts you have so well shared.
