Poem: The Last Time

Updated on February 21, 2013

This short poem simply reflects the feelings of hurt and pain inflicted by the actions of the one (man or woman) who you thought would be there always ... then he/she pushes you to the point of no return for the relationship.

You've hurt me for the last time,

My heart can't take anymore,

You claimed that you'd love me forever,

But the heat began to rise and you wanted to exit through the door,

You are not a real man,

One who would face his fears head on,

Instead you hold on to past behaviors,

And find it easier to stay disillusioned and act scorned,

This is the last time,

You will ever see me again,

Don't call me with "Baby, I miss you"

Don't call me with "Baby, I love you"

We are finally over and through,

There is no more me and you,

No coming back and no further regrets,

This is the last time ... Goodbye!

Renee, thanks for stopping by and commenting ... I agree deuces because as my mom always told me "you don't miss your water until your well runs dry." Karma is something real, for sure.
