Poem: Today

Updated on June 7, 2013

If I were to die tomorrow,

Today, I would want you to know,

That my love runs deep,

Beyond the ocean's bottom and over the highest peak,

You've brought so much joy to my life,

Even through the hardest times,

You encouraged me to be the best that I could possibly be,

Confirming that you were made just for me,

Today, I tell you that I love you,

How much you will never know,

You are a permanent part of me,

Like the veins that capture my blood flow,

Today, my best friend and love,

I thank the Lord God above,

Today and tomorrow,

Come the bright sunshine or rain showers,

Today, forever and always.
