Poem: Such Horror

Updated on August 11, 2011

War of the Mind (Short version)

Such Horror.

I find myself

Alone.

Emptiness.

My mind starts to wander.

Filling that emptiness with

frightful terrors of the night.

Silence.

No silence could ever exist.

When the only noise heard are

the growing rumbles of

provoking thoughts.

Fear.

I am never alone.

Taunting images fill the mind.

Eyes watching, footsteps following.

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

Hope.

Is hope forever lost?

Countless ways I try to

bring myself back from insanity.

Hopeless in the things I've seen,

and in the things I've done.

Darkness.

I find myself.

Darkness is where I live.

Hidden from the realities that you see

that are not my own.

I find myself

Alone.

Such Horror.
