Poem: Why Cry!

Moments....

Relationship between a man and a woman is very unpredictable. All relationships do not turn out the same for everyone. And all these instructional books about how to deal with your partner, usually gets thrown out the window. The matters of the Heart is indeed very strange! It is not easy to understand the emotions of others unless we have felt it ourselves, and even then who is to say that feelings are exactly the same between Jane, and Joe!
This poem is for a very close friend of mine who is going through some hard times, and I know I can't totally comprehend what she is going through, but I do know that there is always sunshine behind those black clouds!

Here is to you, Belle!

Blue skies
Birds fly,

Why does your heart cry?

See him,
Far away,

You can not make him stay.

Hey, you!
No clue,

What makes your heart so blue?

Who knows
Where love goes...

Fallen like a broken rose.

Give in
No sin

Follow your heart, don't push to win.

Let go
You know

He will feel the final blow!

Sit back,
Just relax,

Don't be sorry, don't look back.

Pretty face
No trace,

See him fall on his face!

Feel free
Clearly see

He is not the best there is to be....

Plenty of fishes out in the sea!

Life is too short to waste ......

Lathing hope your friend gets to read it.. It's hard breaking a routine, a love, a life, you get use to it.. and when it's over you feel that empitness... well let me not get off track.. you've written a wonderful poem .. just point her to that sea.. and let her see for herself.. many fish of course... sometimes the sea will offer flounders.. sharks.. you could even get crabs.. but keep looking.. and you'll find that king of the sea..

Sure Frank, seems like you have some experience in it! Yeah, and I will point her to the sea, and warn her not to catch a Shark again!! :)

I hope she gets to read this, she is probably not in that mind set yet..... But I have been calling her everyday. We all need support in the time of need. I am sure she will see your profound advice :)

      Thanks, buddy, for stopping by!

I hope that your friend feels better soon. The grieving period takes time. The best advice I can give her is to keep herself occupied as much as possible. Do not isolate yourself at home because that will make you feel worse. The gym is one way to deal with these emotions. Why not take your friend shopping or to the hair salon? It will definitely make her feel better. I gave up on finding true love. I realized that I don't really need a man to fulfill me. lol@ frank. Frank.. women don't rebound that quickly as men do. Then again, I am only the love dr.

Thanks, LoveDoc, for your wonderful comment, and advice. You are right, we women take longer than men to come out of the grieving period. Keeping busy is one of the way to keep your mind off it, I guess. Appreciate your stopping by......

      Lizzy,

Oh how Belle will appreciate this when she is not so raw. Your words are beautiful, empowering and inspirational.

One day, some day, the right person will happen along, even for Frank and the Lovedoctor. And if not, why cry...what a perfect title.

Voted UP and AB. Happy Thanksgiving to you, my friends.

It's hard to tell someone whose lover is gone that it's better not to have someone around who really doesn't want to be there - but it's the fact. What would we do? Tie the person to the bedpost? Handcuff him/her to the table-leg? People are free to come and go and follow their own inner directions and that's exactly what they will - perhaps they must - do. When theirs cease to align with ours - that's just how it turned out & the sooner it's found out, the better.

Hope your friend soon realized that she is worth far more than anyone's fickle affections!! When she realizes how lucky she is to know and to still be full of life and new adventures, she will thank you. Your poem says it well, Lizzie! Hugs.

Lizzy - It's like the old saying about the bird in the cage ... "Open the door and let it fly away. If it comes back, it is truly yours. If not, it never was." Relationships are strange and ongoing questions during life. Some matter, some don't. You don't know until it's over. Great poem!

Hi, Richy! Yes, that's a great saying...... But sometimes it's hard to take a bird back when it has been around! :) I guess, life is more complicated than we assume...... Specially, when it comes to dealing with others!

Thanks for the wonderful advice, will pass it on to her.

Take care, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Easier said than done. I have a friend who was brokenhearted when she found out that her boyfriend was dating another woman. They broke up I think almost a year now but she still can't get over that selfish guy. I really can't imagine how much tears she wasted.

You are so right. The matters of the heart is indeed very strange. I like your poem. It's normal to feel all these emotions once a relationship is over: grief, depression, sadness, loneliness until you finally just accept it. I don't know. I must be weird, but I process emotions differently. I guess I have a high tolerance for pain.

Hi, Doc! Thanks for the facts. Yes, we all process emotions differently..... My friend has always been a soft hearted person, and I think that type hurts the most in any breakup.

Appreciate your input, and stopping in. Take care....

After a few breakups, you do get stronger. I remember the first time my boyfriend broke my heart. I was only 17 years old. I felt the pain.. I was devastated for a long time. I had no closure either. He was my childhood friend and he just walked out of my life and I never heard from him. Being so young, I felt my world was going to end, but I survived. Take care, have a good night.
