Poem - Guessing Game......

Updated on September 10, 2012

Meeting you was not right.
But knowing was a delight
Your words captured my heart
gave in without a fight.

So say, what you want to say
You are holding it all back, anyway!
Showing through your words,
Telling me it's just a play!

Frustration seizes my heart,
Insecurity keeps us apart.
Returning glances after glance,
Romancing from the start.

................

Words are put on front display
For each other's rhyming play,
You are there, but don't dare say!
Rejection ..... being afraid!

Come closer, then move away,
How am I to know which way
Is your heart going to sway
Why don't you just come out and say!

For my heart, you are to pray
Feelings are there, anyway!
Uncertainty keeps us apart......
Hidden words, makes us stay!

Playing Games With Words.......

Hi LadedaThing( music comes to mind): Woooh that was a beautiful , strong ,tentative, sensitive and emotional encounters as I read my way through. For me it was a bit hard to remember my inner feeling self on that subject because I met a human jewel, whose light shines its awesome beauty and makes life so much better than it should be. Just my luck!!! Missed but do not miss a whole bunch of feelings that could have been!!!

Wonderfuly done Lathing. I loved Faith's words, being so honest and so clear. The game of life: Only God knows who defeats or who wins, in a constant thug-of-war of love. There are plenty of movies that touch the subject indeed. Thanks for the inspiration dear friend!

It's the chase that is so fun that finally leads to whatever may be or not. At least this is what I got out of your lovely poem. But what do I know, as I have been married since the age of 19, so I am trying to remember back that far as to how the game was played. Plus he was my first and I guess my last. LOL In His Love, Faith Reaper

      Hi Lathing

      "Come closer, then move away,

How am I to know which way

Is your heart going to sway

Why don't you just come out and say!"

Who knows. Maybe they are confused or just playing games.

      Voted up and awesome

      Take care :)

Talk about the games people play. "I would if I could and I should but will I if I can and shall?" Indecisiveness rules for fear of commitments never made.

So, been drinking a lot of coffee this morning, huh? lol Great Job!

WOW, Billy, that is something!! I actually put the title as 'Word Play'..... If you look at the link that's what it says. Then I changed it right before publishing it! I have never heard the song..... wonder if it is on YouTube?

LOL, Good morning, Frank! Nice of you to notice that...... It's suppose to be a confusing situation between two people who are afraid of showing their feelings and of being rejected.

You caught it quite quickly :)
