Poem of The Rich and The Poor

Updated on April 11, 2011

"The Rich and The Poor" - by Anonymous

There are those who crave for money

There are those who strive for food

If they're lucky they may taste honey

The rich feel nothing and are quite crude

While the poor see the world with new eyes

Every day isn't a right but a gift

Everyday will certainly surprise

The rich then move the poor in one mighty shift

As if a silent beating to demand silence

The poor look upon this with solemn eyes yet feel no self-pity

No matter how the rich may pursue with violence

The poor will always own this city
