Poem: Shooting Star

Updated on March 17, 2012

Once I saw a shooting star

Wished for everything we are

To be like that shooting star

Bright, elegant, going through life

With flying colors.

As I see that shooting star

Shooting, flying

The I thought, well,

We are shooting stars

We all pass through life in flying colors

In our own way

Through the world for others.

Say good-bye, shooting star...

I'll miss you.

Written by my son, May 2011 for a 5th grade school assignment.

I wish they would stay around longer or go in slow motion. Makes one wonder where it is they go...Thanks for sharing
