Poem: Spring

Updated on March 2, 2012
Source

The splendor of a spring day.

So much to appreciate

The vivid depth

The gentle flow

Nature growing, moving, renewing.

If I’m still

I listen and look

More than feel, my senses alight

More than see, I absorb

Layers of experience to wonder.

Stunning colors on one flower petal

Fascinating shapes on a single branch

Wind voicing itself in the trees

Sun’s sparkling shades expressed at journey’s end

Movement of tiny kingdoms at my feet

Overwhelming emotion fills my heart

At the marvels I view

Yet I am saddened a little

I cannot help but wonder,

How many miss such glory?
