Facing Tomorrow

Updated on April 11, 2016

Facing Tomorrow

Are you tempted to pull the covers

Over your head instead of facing

Panic pulling at the edge of your mind

Yanking you to your feet with an

Invisible string

Your mouth dried as Sahara Desert

A sharp needle of fear pricking your brain

Tiny lines of frustration crawled across

Your forehead

Your heart a drum

You collapsed into a stupor of self-pity

And despair but suddenly your mind

Reeled with hope. Keep the hope alive.

Straigt to the point. I love it.

I like the fire of your poem...facing tomorrow is an ordeal for most of us, some with more challenges to face than others.
