Poems and Poetry: She Wanted Attention

Updated on March 28, 2012

She Has Been Alone For So Long

She has been alone for so long

On the edge of life, a fake one

She desperately wanted attention

A silver of hopelessness pierced her

And her body practically screamed

“I’m available”

Meeting her soul mate was a

Memorable life-changing experience

Heat tingled along her skin

Accepting pocket of happiness

Whenever she was touched

Like adding oil to a flame

Nerve endings fired back to life

With a near-painful intensity

Her features were still

But her eyes gave her away

Tender warmth and love mirrored there.
