Poems and Poetry: Thorns of Love

Updated on January 14, 2012

Thorns of Love

Love is more or less like a rose

With sharp and hurting thorns

Beneath its bright, beautiful blossom

To most lovers the thorns are not

Noticeable at the beginning

They concentrate on the sweet

Smell of the rose but sometimes

The rose almost shriveled almost

Before it bloomed, and a bush of

Thorns is left behind like needles

Poking at the heart when problems

Have set in.
