Poems by LLS - Forever My Friend

Updated on September 6, 2014

You are my husband and my companion,

You are my lover and my best friend

Your love is all that I will ever need.

You fill my soul with content.

On the day of your departure

You will take with you my heart

All I will have are memories

To linger while we are apart.

Remaining deep within me,

The being of my very soul

Will be the love we shared

And the stories still untold.

For after you cross over

I know your hand you will extend

To touch it I'll be forever reaching

Until our souls are together again.

Well, we can all be a little stern at times. I certainly can --- sometimes for no valid reason.

So sad for your loss, dear.

Thank you, goddess, for visiting and your blessing. He was a very nice person but he also had his stern side. The love of my life.

OMG, bearnmom, this is making me cry, and I'm sitting in the computer lab.

God bless you and your wonderful dear hubby. He looks so nice on that picture. He must have been a great person.

Great taste in a wife, too LOL.

Thanks for your beautiful poem, dear. Up, awesome, beautiful.

Thank you, Kathryn and Eddwen, for your kind words. This was one I wrote many years ago and only just found again today.

That is beautiful. Sad, too, although laced with hope for the future, when your souls will be together again. Bittersweet.
