Poems for a sunny summer 1- Eye Contact

Updated on July 30, 2013

Beauty in its various forms

Eye Contact

Eye Contact

Hello, my love

You are glowing more

So today than any other day

I can feel it radiate

You do not have to be close

Or far or blocked from sight

To pull me

And capture me

It’s a force that you

It must only be you

Hold and control to create

This sense of completeness

Others laugh, scoff, or even

Bark out in amusement

At smitten love birds

While they fly happily

Paying no regard to a cat or a

Vicious predator

Much like I am in your

Grasp. Ignorant to the wolves

You naturally hold a

Grace and beauty

That few match or compare, and

Today you shine, my love.
