Poems for a sunny summer day 7- Fortune telling with creases

Updated on August 17, 2013

Please, let us see your hand.

Fortune telling with creases

Fortune telling with creases

The lines seem to be

Longer and more aged

Then I wish to remember.

It’s a curious state.

They don’t simply curve

Along my palm in

Three delicate lines

Now they cross from thumb to forefinger.

Scars and veins shine

Upon my skin

Adding to its new and

Humbling appearance.

They remain steady

And encourage the scars

And lines that are to come;

Equally humbling.
