Never Change my Name

Updated on March 25, 2012

Never Change my Name

...My name means to me what yours should mean to you, a name stands for strength and individuality. Names capture history and reveals stories for all to see.

It starts off as a hint of who you are to become with subtle glimpses of who you were. Exploring my name for it has meaning and proof of my past.

Sharing it with others and hiding it behind closed doors. My name surrounds me in history. Predestine to be a mixture of mystery.

My name was called once in public it appeared out of nowhere and pretended to know me.

I covered my ears for I was not the person wanted to be. You’re not speaking to me I said in a restrained but loud voice.

You described a girl once knew maybe she has a twin or a friend with the same spin on life as she once knew.

If she shows her face tell her to change, change who she has become and not who she will be. Always remembering to look back when needed.

I think you need to separate your poems into individual hubs , A lesson I learned too! One poem one hub! It will help , by the way I'm going to follow you!
