My Garden of Eden


Tall, green mountains scraping the sky of the lightest blue

With falls of clear water cascading down their backs

Brown, white, black, grey; sheep everywhere, minding their own business

A seagull on every chimney, waiting for the right moment to strike for my plate

The sunlight mixing with the raindrops, creating rainbows in the mist

The sound of the howling wind mixing with that of running fountain water

The salty sea stretching towards the islands in the back of the horizon

The clouds floating above and below, some of them trying to cover up the sun

All of this is holding my gaze with its endless beauty

This is my paradise; this is my Garden of Eden
