Poetry - Ride this Train

Updated on May 28, 2010

Feeling some sense of hardship or struggle? Then this poem is for you. Make the bad day a good one!

Ride this Train

 I am tired

I am spent

I am weak

I am bent

But I'm not broken

I have spoken

 Withered not

I need a token

to ride this train

I am trying to

come out of the rain

Going down under

Through the tunnels

Radical atmosphere

A bubble

We're twisting

and turning

Trying to ride this train

I feel the temperature

This journey undertaken

was a bad idea

I should have stayed out in the rain

It was cool out there

We rising out now

out of the tunnels

Back on a straight course

I'll show no remorse

Sometimes you have to go down

to come up again

I want to board your train and take this marvelous poetic trip right on down to the end of the line!

I don't know why but reading this brought back the thought of riding the Space Mountain roller coaster in Orlando. THAT'S a ride I'll NEVER get on again!!! Your poem reflected the ups and downs in life which we all experience if we get to be old enough. Good job!

I can see life as the train - great imagery.
