While on Extended Enhance Community Quarantine due to COVID-19 here in the Philippines, I have no means of making myself to be busy. I continuously writing poems specifically about this COVID-19 pandemic. My experience during while on the quarantine.

What are the poems all about in this poetry collection?

Survival: This poem was created last 21April2020 at 5:25pm and it is all about definition of survival in fighting the unseen enemy like we are in the suicidal mode.

After creating the poem "Survival"

The Unseen Enemy: This poem was created a day after the previous poem 22April2020 at 6:36pm and it is all about the unseen enemy that is spreading everywhere in which no where to escape.

After creating the poem "The Unseen Enemy"

Don't Cry: This poem was created almost two weeks after the previous poem 4May2020 at 11:42pm and it is all about my emotion while in the quarantine.

After creating the poem "Don't Cry"

Asking for Help: This poem was created few minutes ago, 6May2020 at 10:25am and it is all about my problem where to get some help while in the quarantine.

And looking forward that we will surpass this COVID-19 pandemic as soon as possible. God speed.

How do you define the word, “survival”?

When you are out of your comfort and needs revival,

Fighting from the unseen enemy but suicidal,

Praying its best to survive in the midst of the recital.

How to survive with this unseen enemy?

Which will attack us in any way to make us Teddy,

Too soft but making us pity,

In the world full of envy.

Every now and then, we ask for help

From the giants who treated us as elf

Looking forward to survive for a food to fetch

But only expecting the reality in a sketch.

Time is running out to survive

Until we find time to divide

The food to eat in the month to reside

From morning to night at the bedside.

COVID-19 cases are everywhere,

That every patients will encounter,

However, some of them cured with a filter

But some of them loses their own power.

To make a fight with the problem,

A barricade of community quarantine will solemn

Tons of unfulfilled promises for us to blame

Why we are staying at home to carry the flame?

When COVID-19 struck us, we are only nobody,

That somewhat to be poor pony,

That cannot stand with homogamy

Which suffers my integrity.

Who am I to be in my position?

I am only a simple person with passion,

To surpass all the problems with friction,

That needed someone with undivided attention.

- Luis G. Asuncion (22April2020 = 6:36pm)

While I am listening with the music of Guns and Roses,

I do not know how, I felt some pauses,

Why I am staying here and crosses,

Between life and death for thinking the losses.

I am easily crying out loud deep inside

Experiencing in the days of the quarantine on the side

In which I did not choose to happen to abide

The rules of engagement not to work outside.

As I opened my eyes, I see the stars

When it is cold outside, there are scars

Harmoniously believing to work on the pars

Crying on the symphony of the brass.

On the melody in my mind of the food to eat

I am waiting for nothing but faith

I have nothing but looking for something to thick

If not is to wait below the ground six-feet.

- Luis G. Asuncion (4May2020 = 11:42am)

Nearly two months of the Enhanced Community Quarantine

Still, the flattening of the curve is like an intestine

And do not know the safety within the Palestine

To look forward with the food to eat in the canteen.

I am communicating with other individuals and organizations

Asking for help from great powers and positions

To feed my family while in the Grand Canyon

Travelling in midst of the multitude with no ration.

Help, I need some help and only few responded

Giving some carbohydrates and canned goods created

For only few days to survive in the torch lighted

Positively, we will surpass the COVID-19 as it mandated.

Yes, it is very hard to stay locked in with no means of getting food, perhaps. Children and adults do not like being locked up without being able to get out and see other people or just to walk about. I hoe you and your family are keeping well and getting enough food where you are.

I hope you have had some reprieve from the lock down. We all go through it and you expressed what many of us go through at this time.

You capture the helplessness of humanity well in the midst of this pandemic. I hope the curve flattens soon and lockdown can be eased for you.
