Poetry: Human Emotion

Updated on August 13, 2011

In the Mind

Deep in the mind of others.

A cry of confusion bleeds through.

Sanctify, a cry to anyone who will hear.

Longingly, a bliss, keep me from insanity.

Why does the mind purge itself?

Thoughts that bring confusion, fantasy and emotion.

What is real?

What is created in the mind?

Dark, lonely, nervous to be judged.

Only a look from you will alter the thought.

What you seek is there in your request,

Understand, acknowledge the human emotion.

The Feeling Of

The sudden breeze of fresh air,

Blows through the curtain framed window.

So sudden the breeze,

As in the sudden jump in my heart.

A feeling of butterfly's,

The moment your presence is near.

Sadly, I know this to be true,

Your heart does not belong to me.

But rather to those of great beauty,

Seduction and breathless charm.

Love... and I love.

Oh how I love

...and love

I love.

Loving You

Must I think of you,

constant and true?

Wanting you to hold me,

So tender with your eyes of blue.

My dreams grow stronger,

Your in them every night.

You look at me and smile,

My thoughts still hold you tight.

Anger fills me,

For I am confused at heart.

You do not love me,

It's apparent so I fall apart.

As friends remain,

though, distant I see.

I bare the pain in silence,

For you will not love me.

      Hi Emily!

Thank you for finding me! It was a pleasure meeting you.

Even though you said your writings were just jots of your everyday thoughts and not "poetry", well, your thoughts and words have created just that.

I do look forward to hearing more of your poetic thoughts and am glad you found me. =)
