Poli-ruthless

By Tony DeLorger ©2011

Fractured factions,

fraught by actions,

shadows darkened

seeking sanction.

Hollowed vessels,

souless messes,

sold to dogmas,

trite addresses.

Lost in spin,

a ruthless sin,

contrived of malice,

and always been.

No moral ground,

or truths resound,

in position gained,

only lies abound.

With words of glee,

and ‘trust in me’,

we blindly follow

our fault to see.

In low lit rooms,

these ghouls resume,

to power plays

and rivals tombs.

While we in hope,

await the scope,

of change and wealth,

and life promote.

They plunder all,

for gain and more,

arrest our faith,

and pain enthral.

For whatever is,

is good for us,

we’re better off,

need not discuss.

For they have all

in hand you see,

our poli-ruthless,

leaders be.

Politicians like pigs feeding in a trough, yes. But could Shiva(the auspicious one)/his consort Kali, the yin/yang of harmony and change represent these politicians who seem to keep us in limbo and stagnation?:)
