Pondering Things Of Nature- a poem

Be thankful for the flowers.

Be thankful for the trees we can climb.
Be thankful for the trees we can climb. | Source

Take your time

Smell the flower;

Touch its petals and watch it grow.

Every part is made for you

Every part is for you to know;

And when the spring is over,

A new bud will reappear.

That is how life changes

From year to year.


Take your time,

Listen to the bird sing

Touch his wings, and watch him fly

Soaring in unending flight

In the vast blue sky,

To search for home everywhere

Below and far above.

That is how we should

Live our life,

Searching for joy and love.


Take your time and climb a tree,

Touch its bark and its leaves.

Just look at land below you

Find out what it means.

The higher that you climb,

The more land you will see

That is how it looks from Heaven,

What God has made for you and for me.

      So true...taking time to smell the roses! I had to smile when I first started reading because when I arrived home earlier, I stopped and smelled the new lillys that are blooming in my garden. Beautiful poem!!
