Poor Kitty

Updated on September 17, 2011

Am I wrong to take a stand at owners who abuse their pet?
Am I wrong to call animal control officer to pick up poor kitty?
It hurt me deeply to see such abused…especially toward animal that shouldn’t be abused

Animal have heart just like all of us, seeking for life like anyone of us…
Just cause they can’t talk like human, there is no reason for us human to disrespect them
And most importantly mistreat and starving them

The poor kitty today that I see…was like a malnourished child in foreign country
My heart tell me, I have to do something
So I took a stand and asked why not feeding the kitty?

She say its none of my business, I say sure it is
Especially a kitty awaiting for death in front of her home

She’s eating rice with steak and the poor kitty meowing as she shoved the kitty away
She’s fat like pigs and the kitty was skinny
I don’t get it, she’s such an evil being

I have pet myself, I love her to death
She’s like a family to me and I treat her with respect

I called Animal patrol officer to take it away….
From its owner to find a better place….

This is heartbraking. Such injustice. It makes me sick. Animals are for ever children. We cant explain to them. They trust us so much. Thanks for sharing this hub Chanroth. We must not forget.

Hi Chanroth, animal is also having rights like us and that should be understood by all poeple who ill-treat them. I very much liked and enjoyed your poem, which shows how much kind you are. Voted up and interesting! Nasser.

Like this woman, too many people in the U.S. seem to think it's their right to disregard the basic welfare of their animals. Many times these people lack responsibility in other areas of their lives. I think you were brave to speak up but I'm not surprised by the woman's response. You were right to call animal control and I hope they fine the woman as well as taking the kitten away. Even if animal control euthanizes it, it's better than the slow death by starvation and the abuse it was experiencing.

That is sad. Too many people abuse animals. I don't understand it either. It's cruel and heartless.
