Posthumous poem- Merry Christmas, What Christmas Means to Me

Updated on August 4, 2011

Merry Christmas - What Christmas Means to Me

It is a time of year that people open their hearts.

It is a time of year when souls rejoice and play in the freedom of light.

It is a time of new beginnings and time to leave the past.

It is a time to forgive. Leaving fear behind.

It is a time to look forward.

It is a time for mankind everywhere to open their eyes wide to the fact that we are all here for a reason.

It is a time of year when people are able to love when they never could.

It is a most special time on this planet.

It is a time to rejoice, enjoy and be forever Thankful for the Loves in our hearts, Health and Freedom that we can be ourselves.

It is a time to be the best we can be!

My Mom taught me that the spirit of Christmas should be kept alive every day of the year.

This is also a beautiful reminder of that. Your brother has left an amazing legacy through the wisdom of his words, mar.

Thank you. It has been 17 years. Many more poems to share and my hope is that they do keep his memory alive, long after I am gone.
