Power in Thought

Updated on August 6, 2017

The revered individual's mind,

that which so defines us every one.

Great strength found in thought,

as lives have so barely begun.

A truly collective neural effort,

without any limits for each.

Provides a life of utter brilliance,

new heights for all to reach.

That old belief that only ten percent,

of our brains, are ever used.

Depends on an individual's resolve,

despite the above accused.

Even those with learning restraints,

their physical, mental anomalies.

Have been proven to exceed all limits,

in the demanding world of ABC's.

Einstein, Bell, Roosevelt, Washington,

and Helen Keller, to just name a few.

While, Beethoven, Leonardo Da Vinci,

and Sir Isaac Newton, are there too.

These are just but a small number,

of the greatest of those among us.

As over ages, brain power's prevailed,

easily exceeding all, that's a plus?

The brilliant of us all, of our history,

have provided their society with a birth.

In the fields of the sciences, inventions,

and of the arts, proven their worth.

The mind may be impaired in one way,

over coming all in the next.

Neural compositions of each individual,

so varied, to be so complex.

Powers of the mind, so misunderstood,

through research and are so investigated.

Just how much and to what limits of each,

Is an enigma to solve, and so complicated.

Each one has their own ability to succeed,

Although so many challenges to impede.

A grand reward awaits all of the dedicated,

Then to gain rewards and to be celebrated.
