Precious Angels - a poem of dedication

Updated on March 1, 2013
Source

Take my hand, precious angels

God called you home today

Your Mommy and Daddy will miss you

Saying goodbye with tears in their eyes

Little lives taken far too soon

Leaving broken hearts behind

But you will see them again, someday

Until then, remember they love you

And will think of you

With every beat of their hearts.

**For all those that lost their precious angels in the school shooting in Newtown, CT.

KJ, I just don't know. He was definitely a disturbed young man. I think the health care and educational system failed him. His high school counselor said that after he graduated, he sort of drifted. So many parents of special needs kids have to fill in the gaps to provide all the support that is suddenly cut off after the kid leaves the school system. A national discussion on how to bridge the gap needs to start. Now.

Simple, sympathetic, and straight from the heart! There is so little that can be said to console, but your poem is a beautiful tribute to the lost souls, Terry..

one of the children, Ana Marquez-Greene - had just moved to Newtown from winnipeg, canada - where i live - in july..5 months ago...they lived about 3 miles from me..

her older brother was also at the school, but was unharmed...physically..Her father was a musician, her mom a psychologist..

      sharing forward..
