Princess Of My Mind (poem)

Updated on July 20, 2017

Silently listen stardust in her name

Softly she comes to claim my dreams away

Forever’s tomorrows won’t be the same

As long as moonlight falls within her sway

Timelessly glisten princess of my mind

Searching out reasons buried in my heart

Why I dare dream a fate so ill designed

This mad fantasy would tear me apart

Patiently christen vessel of my fate

To love a memory which can’t come true

The shadows of my tears can’t now abate

The realms which formed this wall ‘tween me and you

And with a kiss she pardons in the dawn

Silently listen where my love has gone
